For Effluent & Sludge Treatment
Getting the right microbial cultures for Effluent Treatment Plants is easier said than done. Developing the right microbes to suit specific requirements involves intense research i.e., Isolation, Screening, Acclimatising, Mass-Production, Delivery Mechanisms etc. The managers of Effluent Treatment Plants invariably deploy Cow dung or sludge, which do not have the proper range of microorganisms and as a result fail to see a consistency in their results.
RELAX! Ecosense Labs (I) Pvt. Ltd. offers a range of ready to use products - highly specialized microbial cultures - ECOBES to suit specific requirements of a wide range of Effluent Treatment Plants.
ECOBES are specially adapted microorganisms, having an appetite for degrading specific types of organic chemicals. ECOBES are used as is or blended to suit specific requirements of biological wastewater treatment. The blend is finalized depending on the effluent composition. ECOBES improve biodegradation, allowing higher flows; i.e. more effluent can be treated in existing system.
ECOBES are cost effective, safe, and easy to use. More important, ECOBES are readily available for instant use, without any pretreatment. ECOBES survive well at room temperature.
Industries where ECOBES have been tried and enjoyed working are:
Pesticide, Electroplating, Paper & Pulp, Dyes & Dye-Stuff, Brackish Process Water, etc.
Some members of our ECOBES Family are listed as under:
ECOBE - 1.
These are highly selective microorganisms used in removing the pungent sulphur
odour of thiols and mercaptans from organo-phosphorous compounds and other pesticides.
ECOBE - 2.
A consortia of microbes tailor-made in removing toxic metal & metal complexes
like Cr, Ni, Cu, Na, and other inorganics like, silica and chlorides & sulphates.
ECOBE - 3.
These microbes are specially designed in removing the colour from paper/ pulp
mills and viscose effluent and thereby reducing COD and BOD in the waste streams.
ECOBE - 4.
Selected microorganisms to remove color from the waste streams of the dyestuff
industry.
ECOBE - 5.
Removal of certain inorganics from brackish water is imperative for industries
using sea water or bore well water in their process plants. Micro-organisms
are selected and used as pre-treatment in reducing the interference of the inorganics
before passing through the DM plant.
ECOBE - CN
Specific microorganisms screened and selected for removal of Cyanides from waste
streams of Electroplating units.
Besides these products, Ecosense can develop tailor made cultures to suit specific requirements.
Quality Control:
ECOBES are checked for performance and absence of any pathogens. ECOBES are
cultured and mass reproduced under strict process control and monitoring conditions.
Appearance:
ECOBES come in either powders or in liquids depending upon the effluent characteristics.
Recommended Storage Conditions
ECOBES hate direct sunlight; love a cool and dry place. They are best stored
at room temperature.
Safety:
ECOBES function best when in accordance with good industrial hygiene practices.
ECOBES are safe and convenient to use. ECOBES don't want to get all over your
wonderful, coloured, tailor-made clothes and will appreciate it if protective
clothing is worn as prescribed by the production process. If the ECOBES are
spilt onto the floor, don't worry, just wash them away with plenty of water
and they'll be gone. ECOBES don't like to see or be exposed to open wounds it
pains them and you. ECOBES like to Breathe and Eat effluents, not to be Inhaled
or Eaten by Humans.
ECOBES live and work in moderation not in excess. After working with ECOBES, wash hands with soap and plenty of water. ECOBES like and practice good housekeeping and hygiene practices and request you to do the same.
Optimum Conditions
for Effective Usage:
ECOBES perform best at ambient temperatures and a pH of 7 to 7.5. But, they
continue to perform even in a temperature range of 10 to 35 C and a pH of 7
to 9. ECOBES like us need oxygen to breathe, live, and survive (Minimum Dissolved
Oxygen of 0.3%).
